Waking up early had its benefits. Arriving at the terminal, there were no lines, I got to choose my seat and best of all, free WiFi access. Of course, I had to skip breakfast to get there, staving off the occasional hunger pains now and then with peanuts. Its hard especially when the boat your on gets delayed twice eventually ready by 10:30. Then again, I get to enjoy the WiFi longer.
So what to do...
Typical of me to start torrenting on a good internet connection, but I had to stop lest I can't surf the net with all the torrents eating up the bandwidth. So I just spent three hours, no less, tweaking my desktop to look just like the iPad. Doing so since I like the clean, minimalist user interface of Apple's devices. To no avail, I decided to tweak Chrome too, hoping to get a better view of the browser's themes by finding ways to get ride of those thumbnails that appear in a New Tab. Disabling my extensions that don't support themes, I was greeted by this new addition to Chrome.

So Google Chrome has been innovating! Interesting how I spent my time trying to make Windows and Chrome resemble the iPad. Now it seems that I can do so with Chrome by checking out it's web store. Considering that its a web store, majority of the apps happen to be free (Kudos!). Now who wouldn't want to try it out? The gamer in me simply went first to the game apps section and downloaded the best game I could find, Entanglement. More apps followed and by the time the 10:30 boat was ready, My "New Tab" looked like this...

So give it a shot, you never know.
Feliz Navidad!
